I am a junior at the College of William and Mary, majoring in English and minoring in Literary & Cultural Studies. I am pursuing an English Honors thesis in creative writing and am the Fundraising Director and a DJ for WCWM, the campus radio station. I don't know what I want to do yet when I graduate, but I worked at the Smithsonian last summer and am thinking about museum work.

I have been drawing, painting, and writing all my life, and I made my first website in fifth grade. The first websites were "adoption agencies," where people could save images of animals I drew to display on their own website. Now, I still enjoy drawing animals, but the artwork is much better quality. I specialize in pen and ink, colored pencils, and watercolor. I love to make crisp outlines filled in with bold colors and most of my artwork reflects this aesthetic.

Though art will most likely never be a primary career choice for me, I will always continue to draw and paint. I hope to eventually find my niche and maybe sell my artwork or exhibit it in galleries.

Psitta Lux is the second incarnation of my online portfolio. The previous one was Agent Lovebird, which ran from 2006 to early 2009. Psitta Lux is sorta kinda real Latin for "parrot of light." This website layout focuses on parrots, but I do like birds in general. The purpose of this website is to provide a place to showcase my work and share stuff online.
