This tutorial will teach you how to make an outline that can be colored later. I used a Mac paint program called Acorn to make this outline, but the techniques apply to any program.
You want two layers: first the photo set at 60% opacity, and then the layer the outline will be on.
Draw your outline. Be careful and take your time! Don't leave holes as they will leak when you fill them.
